I want to buy an old laptop for my daughter to use for web browsing and website game play nick jr, etc...?

Q. What are the minimum requirements i need to fulfill in order for her to browse and play games on these "childrens" websites. Processer speed, RAM, OS, Video Card, etc... I have a dsl connection and wireless router. And I need a laptop that can have a network card or wireless card added to it. A cd drive would be nice but not exactly necessary. I have never owned a laptop and I have looked at ebay. But, I know nothing about the older laptops and what they are capable of doing today. I am only looking to spend $100 or less. Thank you all for your help!

A. $100 is not much top play with. generally you will spend twice the amount for a laptop as you would for a desktop with similar capabilities.

you can probably get an older pentium2 or 3 for under $250. but for that, you would be better to spend $400 and get a newer one.

there are dealers that specialize in older laptops, but if you want to play any games made in the last few years, you wil need to up your budget a bit. sorry

A. Fisher-Price.com has alot of cute games for Infant, Toddler and PreSchool. They are all online and most are educational.

The only thing you would need are the correct plug-ins to fit your system. I believe Nick Jr. uses Shockwave Flash.
